Florence Busted Arrest Records
Florence sits in Fremont County. It is the county's second-largest incorporated city, with 3,822 people counted at the 2020 census. Several agencies can arrest someone there. The Florence Police Department handles municipal arrests, while the sheriff, state patrol, and other authorized officers also work the area. Whoever made the bust determines which office holds the incident report.
Booking happens at the county level, not the city. The Fremont County Detention Center takes in arrestees from all the local agencies. The sheriff's arrest feed often shows entries marked "arrested by FPD." That does not mean the two offices share records. FPD keeps its own police report. The sheriff's office keeps the booking file and the photograph. Ask each office only for what it holds. Your request will move faster that way.
Where Florence Busted Mugshots Appear
No dedicated FPD arrest log, daily bulletin, or current booking-photo roster was located through the department's official navigation and sitemap. The practical photo-publication fallback is the Fremont County Sheriff's Office Arrests/Jail Intakes feed. Current custody belongs to a different path. The source table keeps that distinction visible and puts official channels before outside publications.
| Channel | Photo status | Coverage and limit |
|---|---|---|
| FCSO Arrests/Jail Intakes | Usually on observed posts | Official Florence and county intake publication; not a live jail roster |
| VINELink Colorado | No county promise | Current custody and notifications, subject to system updates |
| Fremont Combined Court | No photo feed | Official filing, docket, and disposition path |
| Cañon City Daily Record | Occasional | Independent county intake reporting, not complete or current custody |
| Mugshots.com county archive | Archived images | Unofficial, with visible years through 2017; never a current source |
A sheriff arrest card can remain visible after release on a personal-recognizance bond. It can also describe a sentence intake rather than a new accusation. Read the narrative and publication date, then verify custody and court status elsewhere.
Find Florence Busted Bookings
The shortest reliable search follows the event from city policing into county booking and then into court. It also accounts for publication delay. FCSO provides no dedicated same-day or 24-hour feed filter, and the first page can span a different number of days as activity changes.
- Open the sheriff's newest-first arrest feed. Use “Show more” to reach earlier posts and look for an FPD agency label in the narrative.
- Use VINELink when the question is whether the person is still in county custody. For a very recent change, call Intake/Booking at 719-276-5555, option 2.
- Request the Florence police report from FPD. Give the name, date, location, and any incident identifier.
- Ask which office holds the photo. If it was made during county intake, request the booking/intake record and associated booking photograph from FCSO Records.
- Search the Colorado court docket to determine whether charges were filed and how the matter ended.
The Fremont County busted booking guide expands the county roster, feed, and records paths. Never infer that a missing post means no arrest occurred, since the sheriff does not promise every intake will be published.
Florence Busted Records Requests
The city directs requesters to its official police records page and to the department during posted office hours. A useful request identifies the person, incident date, location, and desired record. Ask for the police report and any FPD-held arrest image as separate items. Then ask whether the county jail, rather than FPD, created and holds the booking photograph.
The Florence Police Records interface is the city source for beginning that request.
This city interface addresses FPD material. It does not replace the FCSO form when the desired item is a county intake record or booking photo.

Use 911 for an emergency. A public social account is not a records counter, and a telephone question does not substitute for a well-defined request when documents must be reviewed and redacted.
Florence Arrest Record Fees
Florence publishes several service prices, but none should be mislabeled as a fixed mugshot charge. Its services and fees page lists the items below. The police-records research found no report/photo-specific price and no firm production deadline. Ask for an estimate tied to the exact item before paying.
| Published city item | Amount |
|---|---|
| City criminal history | $25 |
| Research or video work, paid in advance | $30 per hour |
| USB drive | $10 |
The $25 city history fee is not a booking-photo fee. Payment methods listed by the city include cash, debit or credit, and local checks. If FCSO holds the requested image, the sheriff's separate prepayment and estimate rules apply. This is a common two-agency split, so confirm ownership before assuming one city charge covers both files.
Research and video work are priced by time, which makes a narrow request useful. Give a date range, location, person, and known incident number. Ask the clerk to identify the likely cost before work starts. A USB charge applies to the physical medium, not to the legal status of a record. None of these prices promises that protected or unavailable material will be released. Active investigations and required redactions can still limit the response under Colorado criminal-justice records rules.
Florence Police Publication Limits
The official Florence Police Department page documents the agency channel and local contact.
The department's own page is not a booking-photo lineup. It points you to the right city office and the proper records channel. That alone saves a phone chase.
Florence PD also runs Instagram and Facebook accounts through the city. Read those as agency news. A post can be selective, skip the photo entirely, or linger online after someone's custody status changes. Want the full file instead? Go through the records office. For county-level bookings, FCSO is the desk that handles it.
The sheriff's office has its own alert system. CRIMEWATCH Mobile and a free email subscription push out arrest, warrant, case, and news posts the moment FCSO publishes them. New county material shows up this way, including some Florence arrests. Just don't expect a guaranteed post or proof that a person is still in custody. For live custody status and victim notification, VINELink is the right tool. The two products do different jobs, and neither replaces the other.
Florence Mugshots by Custody State
A name on the sheriff's list tells you one thing: an arrest happened. The person could be freshly booked, held, released, transferred, or serving a sentence. The feed alone won't settle which. VINELink tracks current custody. Intake/Booking can confirm a very recent change. And once someone drops off a current-custody result, the arrest record itself may still be there for the asking.
- Booking
- The administrative intake into jail, when identifiers and a photograph may be recorded.
- Bond
- Terms set for release while a case proceeds. Release on bond is not a decision on guilt.
- Disposition
- The later court result, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or judgment.
- Transfer
- Movement to another custodian, which can make a county lookup change.
Florence has a name-collision problem. The town also hosts a massive federal prison complex: ADX Florence, USP Florence, FCI Florence, and a prison camp. Those facilities hold federal inmates, and no booking photos get published for them. To find someone in federal custody there, use the BOP Inmate Locator. People serving Colorado state sentences show up in a different system, CDOC Find an Offender. Neither tool works as a Florence municipal arrest feed.
Why the split? The county jail, the state prison system, and the Florence federal complex answer to three separate authorities, even though all of them sit inside the same county. A person busted locally can end up with a state sentence down the road, and that transfer changes which locator applies. A CDOC profile is not the original county booking record. A BOP hit tells you about federal custody only. It says nothing about an arrest by Florence police or any public federal mugshot.
Florence Busted News Coverage
The Daily Record's county intake reports can include Florence residents and arrests labeled FPD. KRDO and KOAA cover significant Florence incidents on an event-driven basis. Those outlets provide narrative context, not a complete list of arrests. Their publication choice also does not establish whether someone is presently in jail.
Mugshots.com's Fremont County archive includes Florence in its navigation, yet visible arrest-year filters ended in 2017 during research. It is an unofficial historical collection. The required third-party sweep found no verified Fremont County page on Busted Newspaper, RecentlyBooked, Arrests.org, or Mugshots.zone. A generic Colorado page or a Fremont County from another state is not local coverage.
When a news account discusses charges, pair it with the court docket. The sheriff reference ID may help identify an incident, but it is not guaranteed to be the state case number. If names are similar, match dates and agencies carefully before drawing any conclusion.
